Die casting molds & aluminum alloy/zinc alloy die castings

Stamping die & metal precision stamping parts

Types of stamping die materials: carbon tool steel, low-alloy tool steel, high carbon and high chromium steel, high-speed steel, hard alloy. Common convex and concave mold steels: Cr12, Cr12MoV, D2, SKD11... Refers to metal stamping products( various hardware products, Widely used in industries such as daily necessities, mechanical equipment, electronic products etc. Say electronic connectors, electrical switches etc. ) and EDM punching products(widely used in precision mold manufacturing and other fields, to produce high-precision stamping molds and accessories)

Parts decoration and assembly

Surface treatment(s) are available on the mold and parts we made if there is a special requirement. (say in-mold decoration, out mold decoration, polishing, electroplate, anodic oxidation, print, laser engraving etc). we also provide fitting check, small trial order test, assembly services.

Normal procedures to make a mold

1. Requirement analysis and design: Firstly, we need a communication to clarify the requirements, including key parameters such as product usage, material to use, production batch etc. Verify the feasibility of the design through CAE simulation (such as Moldflow analysis of the filling flow of injection molds). The design phase includes key elements such as the overall structure design of the mold, parting surface design, gate position, exhaust hole layout and mold cavity quantity.

2. Material preparation: Select suitable(or assigned) materials according to the usage scenario of the mold and carry out cutting, forging and other pre-processing.

3. Rough machining: removing most of the excess through milling, turning, and other methods to form a preliminary contour.

4. Heat treatment: quenching, tempering and other treatments on the rough machined mold to improve its hardness and wear resistance.

5. Precision machining: using grinding, CNC machining etc. to ensure dimensional accuracy, say ± 0.01mm(follow your requirements).

6. Electrical machining: using electrical discharge machining (EDM) and wire cutting (WEDM) to process complex cavities or fine structures.

7. Surface treatment: such as nitriding and chrome plating to improve corrosion resistance.

8.Assembly and debugging: Assemble the components and test molds, adjust clearances and mold accuracy.

9. Inspection: Verify mold performance through three coordinate measurement and trial production.
